Put duct tape around the area for when you slip. Trust me. You may save some time, and just pull the outer primary off, and then do this. I am one of the few who puts antiseize on these bolts. One bike 37k no problems the other been 30 something too.

When I re-install the screws I clean the threads and install dry, no locktight, and tighten wrist tight with a Torx on a hand driver with a new gasket. No leaks. Note: always check the covers for warpage !
